Sometimes your WellMed Primary Care Physician may recommend you see a Specialist to help diagnose or treat a medical condition. A specialist is a medical doctor who specializes in a specific health field, for example: Cardiology, Oncology, Urology, Gynecology, etc.

At WellMed, all our doctors have strong relationships with specialists throughout the area. To make this process as convenient as possible, your WellMed clinic will arrange and monitor your treatment when you are under the care of a specialist. Our Clinic Referral Specialist will coordinate your care with recommended specialists by helping set up your appointments, providing necessary medical records and follow up care after your appointments.
