Hospitalist

To better care for our patients, WellMed has developed a Hospitalist program to enhance the inpatient care and overall experience of a hospital stay. Some primary care physicians opt not to follow patients through the hospital stay. Instead, they will work directly with the hospitalist and coordinate your care together. The hospitalist is responsible for your daily care from the time of admission through discharge. The hospitalist works at the hospital full-time to provide daily care and can attend to any emergencies that may arise while you are hospitalized. They may also consult with other specialists who participate in your hospital care.
