WellMed provide an array of Podiatry services for qualified patients.

Medicare

  • ABI (Ankle Brachial Index)
    Used to show blood flow through the body and detect possible decreased flow to the lower extremities caused by diabetic neuropathy.
  • VPT (Vibration Perception Test)
    A vibrating sensor assists in diagnosing diabetic neuropathy, a decreased perception to feeling in the feet.

Diabetic Shoes and Inserts

Fitted by Nationally Certified Fitter of Therapeutic Shoes

Dr. Comfort Diabetic Shoes are available at most WellMed locations with a referral from Podiatry. Qualifying patients receive a pair of Dr. Comfort Diabetic Shoes and three (3) inserts per year.

Licensed Nail Technician

Nail technicians travel between WellMed clinics to provide foot care services such as:

  • Trimmings
  • Filing and buffing
  • Foot moisturizing
