Although our primary focus is on the health of senior citizens, we are also concerned about the health of our general community. That’s why we sponsor, as well as participate in, many community events throughout the year. We make charitable donations, sponsor and participate in health fairs and help at-risk children, to name just a few.
Most recently, we worked with Leeza Gibbons to open the first Leeza’s Place at WellMed. Leeza’s Place is a resource center supporting caregivers and those recently diagnosed with debilitating conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, chronic lung disease and heart disease. We also plan to open more Leeza’s Place centers in other WellMed locations.
